For the most part receiving a random error message on your PC once in a while is not the worse thing that can happen. Usually it’s just an application that freezes up and we get the ‘Not Responding’ message, where we simply choose to either wait it out, until it resolves itself, or choose to stop the application from running. Now Blue screen error codes however, elicit a rather different response from users compared to other errors, namely panic and dread.

Perhaps one of the most irritating problems that can occur on a Windows OS is the unmountable boot volume blue screen error message. A computer might experience this problem after a piece of software has been updated or installed. If this is the case it’s highly likely that there is a fault with the registry key or device driver.
If you’ve updated a device driver recently, it’s a good idea to roll back the driver to confirm if this is indeed the problem. A faulty device driver may just be all it is, if you’re lucky that is. Hasn’t stopped the blue screen error codes from coming up? Search for a solution online by typing in the error message.
