Have you ever been given a project at work or in school but simply did not see how you were going to finish it or find the answer? This happens to everyone at sometime in their lives. Many people are learning that mind mapping is a great way to see a problem in a different light and it helps in finding solutions. It has become such a useful tool that software designers have seen a need for software applications and programs that can do the mind mapping process on the computer. One program that you may want to check out is Mindjet MindManager 8.
Mindjet MindManager 8 was created by the software company Mindjet. It is very easy to load and use because it is a Windows based program. The same icons and tools that you find in other Windows based programs are present in this software. The process is supposedly easy to use. You put in your main thought into the biggest box or circle and then begin to add in thoughts and ideas to create a visual diagram or canvas.
Some of the greatest features of Mindjet 8 is the ability to transform your mind map into an Adobe Acrobat page or even publish it to a webpage. Many other programs are strictly limited to operations within the program. Another bonus is that the designers took into consideration that people of all ages would use the program. Many other mind mapping software programs are geared more towards juvenile users with pictures and games to help them through the creative process. With its automated task management, Mindjet Player and Database Linker, Mindjet 8 is definitely something that professionals could use on a daily basis to help them find the information they need for a project and then help them arrive at solutions. But the question to ask is whether or not it is too hard to use.
Mindjet 8 seems to have mixed reviews. Amazon.com only has 2 user reviews and they are polar opposites. One user really liked the program and found that it was the perfect solution for his or her needs. The other user review found that inputting data was extremely difficult and the thought bubbles would not stay in place. Mindjet MindManager 8 is an expensive program to buy. At the manufacturer’s retail price of $349.00 it is a big chunk of money to put down. But if you are technologically savvy and want a professional program it is worth the money spent.
